What technique do you use?
At Radiance Chiropractic, we use Torque Release Technique (TRT), a gentle, neurologically focused chiropractic technique that uses a specialized instrument called the Integrator. Instead of twisting or popping the spine, TRT delivers a precise, low-force adjustment designed to help restore communication between the brain and body. This makes it an excellent choice for people of all ages, from newborns to grandparents.
Do you adjust babies and children?
Absolutely! We love caring for infants, children, and growing families. Pediatric chiropractic adjustments are incredibly gentle and are specifically tailored to a child's age, size, and nervous system. The amount of pressure used on a newborn is often compared to checking the ripeness of a tomato. Our goal is to help support a healthy, adaptable nervous system so children can thrive as they grow and develop.
Are you Webster certified?
Yes! Dr. Katelin is Webster Certified through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment designed to reduce stress on the pelvis and surrounding ligaments during pregnancy. Many expecting mothers seek Webster care to improve pelvic balance and comfort throughout pregnancy. While the Webster Technique is not a treatment for breech presentation, balanced pelvic function may help create an environment that allows baby to move into the best possible position for birth.
What should I expect at my first visit?
Your first visit is all about getting to know you and understanding your health goals. During your initial visit, we will:
- Review your health history and current concerns
- Perform a thorough consultation and neurological-focused examination
- Evaluate spinal and nervous system function
- Discuss our findings and answer any questions
- If appropriate, provide your first Torque Release adjustment
Every care plan is personalized because no two nervous systems are exactly alike.
How much does the initial visit cost?
Our initial visit is $200 and includes your consultation, examination, and your first adjustment (when clinically appropriate). We believe in transparent pricing with no surprises, and we'll review any recommended care before moving forward.
How many visits will it take?
This is one of the most common questions, and the honest answer is that it depends. Your nervous system, health history, goals, and how long you've been dealing with your concerns all influence your care plan. After your examination, we'll recommend a personalized plan based on your findings. Many patients choose ongoing chiropractic care because they notice improvements in how they feel, function, and adapt to everyday stress, not just because they're in pain.
Will the adjustment hurt?
For most patients, adjustments are comfortable and even relaxing. Because we use Torque Release Technique, there is no twisting, cracking, or popping during the adjustment. The gentle instrument allows us to make precise corrections with minimal force, making it an excellent option for those who are nervous about chiropractic care, pregnant, recovering from injury, or seeking care for their children.
How can chiropractic help during pregnancy?
Pregnancy brings incredible changes to the body, especially the spine, pelvis, and nervous system. Chiropractic care focuses on helping the nervous system function at its best while supporting proper movement and balance throughout pregnancy. According to the ICPA, chiropractic care during pregnancy may help:
- Support optimal nervous system function
- Improve pelvic balance and alignment
- Reduce common pregnancy discomforts such as low back, hip, pelvic, and sciatic pain
- Encourage better posture as your body changes
- Promote comfort, mobility, and overall well-being throughout pregnancy
Our goal is to help moms enjoy a healthier, more comfortable pregnancy while preparing the body for birth.
How can chiropractic help my child?
A child's nervous system controls every stage of growth, development, and healing. From birth through adolescence, children experience physical, emotional, and developmental stress that can impact how their nervous system functions. According to the ICPA, chiropractic care may help support:
- Healthy growth and development
- Better sleep and nervous system regulation
- Proper posture and movement
- Recovery from falls, sports, and everyday bumps and tumbles
- Overall wellness and resilience
Rather than treating specific diseases or conditions, chiropractic care focuses on helping the nervous system communicate efficiently so the body can function, heal, and adapt as it was designed to do. Our goal is to help every child thrive, from their very first days through every stage of childhood.
